"Lord, Thanks for taking the edge off"

Posted on October 20, 2014 at 6:22 PM

Walking in the Liberty where Christ has made us free.... Many who don't actually serve God don't get to know or understand the peace that comes from being in Christ. When the trials of life come, we go to the rock that's higher than I. When they reach their max on intellect, education, or tangible get out of jail free cards, we take the elevator and some of t...hem will take the roof, the window or their lives. All because they don't understand that our Gods arms are Broader and stronger than mans. Leaning on the everlasting arms is a song and reminder to us, yet to those who dont have a relationship with God, its foolishness.

Being in Christ takes the edge off. I don't have to fight battles, God does that for me. I don't have to revenge those who cross me, God says pray for them. (Only) He can do a much better job at dealing with them than I can. I just have to walk the walk the Word of God prescribes, and He shall defend me, protect me, make provision for me, supply all i need according to His riches in glory. I thank God that I have someone I can give my troubles too. Someone who is bigger than I. It relieves me of the pressures that others crumble under. I boast not in others calamities, but I'm grateful that I entered into His Grace Mercy and Favor. Grateful for being given the opportunity to know who God is for myself. Thank you Lord for choosing me and being my Rescuer. Being wrapped in you keeps or helps me to have your peace when life hits and I'm brought to a ledge. Thank you Lord for being mindful of those who look to you continually as their Lord and Savior.
